Saw Ray at Basingstoke. He was brilliant and inspiring. Give the choice Mears or Grhyll… it would be Mears all of the time. Just bought a book about Violet Sazbo too

I went to the lecture last night in Dunstable and found it most interesting, peoples lives and actions far outweigh any drama written. I really think Ray should record these lectures as part of our social history. For a man who inspires young and old to appreciate the natural world, it is good to hear his passion and interest in those that help inspire him.
I have been to three lectures now and enjoyed and learnt something on each one, I missed the last one at Dunstable as I thought it was on Monday but my ticket was Sunday, Doh!
Thanks Ray for sharing your tales and knowledge with us all.

Went to the Lowry in Salford, this is my 3rd visit to see a talk by Ray, the other 2 times there was a book signing at the end where you could meet Ray, but at this venue there wasn’t, I asked the guy selling books if Ray was doing a signing and he said no. I still bought a signed book. A little disappointed.

Will there be a time when those of us in the States might get to see this?

Why not Scotland? Just curious.

I had the pleasure of watching this show last night at the Lowry. It was very interesting and very thought provoking. Ray Mears narrates the stories with a passion that is infectious. I would highly recommend this show to anybody, everybody was transfixed from young children to elderly people, loved it, cheers.

We saw Ray in Crawley, and he was a great speaker, but I felt mislead by the advertising. A big image of Ray in snowy Arctic woodland, with a reputation for wilderness survival, and tales of endurance on the edge all lead me to assume (never assume!) more of a wilderness theme.
I’d hope he goes back to talking about the very things that helped make him so popular.

Hi Ray and Team,
My wife and I came to see the tour in Cheltenham this last week – it didn’t disappoint! It was a great evening and the stories told were incredible – difficult to imagine. You come away with yet more perspectives on life today and the human spirit. Looking forward to the next tour alread.
Thanks, Steve

Eh… No Scottish dates, what’s wrong with us Ray… We welcome you when you’re up in Scotland, are we not good enough to speak to? What’s happened to the UK, have we split from England?

Hi, it would appear that many other people had the same second though that I did. The first one was, “this sounds great”, the second one was, “no Scottish dates”. Not moaning at all. Just something to consider for the next time.

Could you please contact the press and ensure they stop referring to this as a UK tour? The latest publication I have had to correct on this is Adventure Travel magazine. Alternatively add some Scottish dates. Preferably including Inverness.

I’m not sure if anyone pointed this out yet but there doesn’t appear to be any Scottish dates. Apparently there’s one or two chaps up here who are into outdoor activities, might be a good idea to pop up sometime soon.

Surely Ray would love to come to Scotland?

Thank you all so much for your interest in Ray’s upcoming tour. We do apologise if Ray is not performing at a venue near you, but at this stage we can confirm that no further dates will be added for 2016.

Very disappointing given that Ray was just on Sunday Brunch to advertise this tour; telling everyone how wonderful Scotland is and how much he loved it. Hopefully this will be carefully considered next time so as it does not feel as if some of the country are somehow less deserving of the experience!

Obviously many folk want dates for Scotland. I live in the Highlands and this is where so many adventurous and outdoor minded people live and visit. Kate Fowler

Hello Aundrey. Thank you for your enquiry, but we’re sorry to say that no further dates have been added to this year’s tour.

Very poor reply from Woodlore. No explanation, just a blanket so-called apology. Woodlore, and Ray, the people who have complained about the locations of your ‘uk’ tour are the folk who made you who you are.
You’ve explored every corner of the world but somehow the borders of England have confounded you.
What’s up, mate? Traded your Landrover in for a Segway?

Hey guys any chance Sydney, Australia is on the cards.
It would be awesome.

Think is pretty obvious Ray, the Scots love you to mate, and all our English, Welsh and Irish brothers love to come to our mountains and glens. After all where would we all be without the Mountains and glens up here!
Makes great sense to come up and share your wonderful stories and adventures look at the blogs of http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk to get a flavour

OK, so Scotland has one or two wild places, but what about us in Lincolnshire? As Head of Mountain Rescue here for years I have been run off my feet, so get yourself to the Lincolnshire Wilds, Ray, and talk away.
